The first of your greenhouse roofing options is a metal roof, an excellent choice of roofing material. Metal roofs provide durable, weather-resistant protection for the plants and vegetables inside the greenhouse. Plus, with our 20+ color options, you can make the metal roof of your greenhouse stand out with a splash of color.
Polycarbonate Roof Greenhouse
If instead you want to match your greenhouse’s roof with its siding, you can choose the roof to be made out of the same material for a unified look. The transparent polycarbonate sheeting we use for our portable greenhouse siding and roofs is UV resistant, providing protection from harmful UV radiation while using the warmth to regulate your plants’ environment.

12×16 Portable Greenhouse Questions
Q.What is the Difference Between a Portable Greenhouse and a Glass Greenhouse?
A. A portable greenhouse is typically made of lightweight materials and can be easily moved, while a glass greenhouse is more permanent, constructed with glass panes and a thicker frame. While portable greenhouses are somewhat less durable, they are far less expensive and offer much more flexibility than a permanent glass greenhouse.
Q. How Do Greenhouses Work in Winter?
A. Greenhouses work by trapping sunlight and heat, keeping a warmer temperature inside than outside – even in the winter. The transparent polycarbonate siding (and maybe roofing) of our portable greenhouses trap the warmth of the sunlight inside the structure, protecting plants from frost and allowing year-round growing.
Q. What Should I Grow in My Greenhouse?
A. You can grow a wide variety of plants in your greenhouse, including vegetables, herbs, and ornamental plants – the choice is up to you! Your options might be influenced by your climate and season, but some popular greenhouse plant options include:
Tomatoes
Peppers
Lettuce
Orchids
Ferns
Succulents
Tropical flowers
Anything else your soil and climate can grow!
